Heart shaped table centre
- 7th February 2015
With Valentine's just a week away, Cally showed us how to make a pretty floral table centre.
To have a slightly raise up design, we glued corks underneath the heart and then covered the sides with a variety of foliage. I chose to plait a Kentia palm leaf to one side and then pinned variegated Griselinia to the other. The insides of the heart were covered in a gold coloured hessian ribbon.
The next step was to cover the top of the heart with moss. I then interspersed roses and succulents amongst this.
I also added some rosemary sprigs and pieces of Cornus alba (red dogwood). These were pinned down with missing pins and to cover the mechanics, I glued some Salix buds (pussy willow) on top!
Finally, to add some movement, I placed two Salix stems to one side.
And then everything was ready for a romantic table centre design!
