Wild Orchids on the South Downs

Deciding to walk near the Devil's Dyke proved very fruitful as I stumbled across a whole host of wild orchids, mainly the Common Spotted one. They might have the word 'common' in their name but they truly are a sight to behold and very special indeed!

One very lucky girl to see this phenomenon which lasts for such a short period...
