End of Term Flowers
Lovely Pip contacted me and asked me to create a vintage basket for her daughter's teacher as well as five floral cupcakes for the teaching assistants at St Nicholas' School in Shoreham-by-Sea.
The brief was to make the arrangements as natural and wild as possible and using mainly garden flowers.
For the basket I worked with pink rambling roses, pink Geranium and Spirea, lilac Hebe flowers as well as dried lavender and Nigella seed heads and dried grasses. For foliage, I chose Hosta and Arbutus (strawberry tree) leaves and sprigs of rosemary.
The cupcakes featured pink rambling roses, lilac Hebe flowers, pale blue Nigella flowers and dried lavender together with dill flowers and Pittosporum, Buxus, Cotinus and Eucalyptus.
A little bird tells me they were all well received!
Apologies for my late message of thanks for the beautiful flowers and posies that you arranged for our school teacher and teaching assistants at St Nics! They went down an absolute treat with the prosecco and NEXT gift vouchers, art work from the kids and card signed form all the parents. The teachers were swept away. Many of us, including the class teacher, had tears in our eyes as we did a little hip hip hooray and gave them out. Thank you once again. Your service was fantastic.
