Mothering Sunday Posies for St Margaret's Church, Rottingdean

Sixteen ladies from the floral roster at St Margaret's Church in Rottingdean got together on the Saturday morning before Mothering Sunday to produce one hundred posies to hand out to all the mothers in the church for a very special Sunday service.

Each posy consisted of three daffodils as well as a variety of fresh foliage which everyone had gathered from their gardens beforehand.

Young Imogen acted as a runner as and when a posy was ready, and Marie Wilcockson kept count of the bouquets to ensure we had made enough. With so many nimble hands available, the posies were soon ready to take to the church in readiness.
