Amelia & Lee's Wedding
It is always so exciting and wonderful to be florally involved in a couple's big day and it was such a pleasure to work with Amelia and Lee.
They tied the knot at Hickstead Hotel in late May and chose wonderful pastel shades for their floral theme; there were plenty of pinks, lilacs and creams as well as sweet smelling summery flowers such as lily-of-the-valley and sweet peas. Heavenly to work with!
Amelia and her two bridesmaids carried bouquets which consisted of Rosa 'Sweet Avalanche', Eustoma, Lathyrus, Convallaria and Gypsophila, mixed with Asparagus setaceus and Eucalyptus parvifolia.
The groom with his bestmen had pink roses as their buttonholes while the ceremony table was decked in a glorious table centre which featured the aforementioned flowers plus a few more! This was later moved to grace the top table to ensure everyone had ample opportunity to get their floral fill. And a couple of trug baskets in the ceremony area ensured the room really was as florally pretty as it could possibly be...
As always is the case, a Floranina heart featured in the proceedings too, and the beautiful naked cake had some choice blooms as well to keep the pastel theme going.
Both mums were given dreamy, creamy floral bags to take home and treasure; what a lovely gesture from the newly weds!
And what a privilege to be part of this summery wedding; I would like to take this opportunity to thank my wonderful assistant Jan for all her help, and also to wish the new Mr and Mrs Early all the very best in their future life together as husband and wife.
