Zamy and Guy's Wedding
Being a floral designer is such a privilege and when you are asked to be florally part of someone's big day, then it is even more special.
After being together for 28 years, Zamy and Guy decided to get married - this coincided with their 70th birthdays too - and asked me to help make their reception venue florally pretty in pastel hues.
Their ceremony and wedding breakfast took place at the Hove Club in Fourth Avenue on a bright and sunny May day.
Guy surprised Zamy with a bouquet for her big moment and she loved the pink and white 'Avalanche' roses which I combined with Alstroemeria, stocks, Gypsophila and pink Veronica.
The table centres had Sussex trugs in the centre which were filled with peach 'Avalanche' roses as well as Freesia, peach Gerbera, dried lavender, Lisianthus buds, Alstroemeria, spray Chrysanthemum, rosemary and Buxus sempervirens. For an added magical touch, several lily of the valley heads were also included - and the scent from these was simply amazing.
A flower fountain completed the reception venue, as did the customary Floranina heart arrangement!
Here's wishing the happy couple all the very, very best for the future...
Thank you so much. It was a very successful day and everyone loved it. They loved the flowers too!
